You know it is springtime in Kansas by the smell of burning pasture! David helped the family burn the east and west pastures on Saturday. On Monday, everyone came over and helped burn around our house. David mowed around the garden and the fruit trees and soaked everything with the hose! AND then we lit 'er up! Zach, Avery and I sat out on the front porch drinking lemonade and watched the show. The kids thought it was pretty cool, the dogs... not so much. It was a sucessful burn... meaning nothing that wasn't supposed to burn went up in flames :) Can't wait for my beautiful views to turn green. All we need is one good rain!
BTW Kady slept through the whole thing... she can watch with us next year :)
